Rockville City Police: Teens Arrested for Weapons and Drugs, Armed Robbery Reported

Arrests and incidents through Feb. 10, according to Rockville city police.

The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt. 

Arrests

300 block of Howard Avenue—A 19-year-old man was arrested between 3:57 and 4:40 p.m. Jan. 19 for 2nd degree assault, disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful order, obstructing and hindering a police investigation and possession of fireworks without a permit.

2100 block of Wootton Parkway—A 17-year-old boy was arrested for marijuana possession at 12:18 p.m. Feb. 1.

400 block of Elmcroft Boulevard—A 20-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at around 10:30 a.m. Feb. 4.

7000 block of Lemay Road—A 20-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for assault (through Frederick County Police Department) at 11 p.m. Feb. 4.

14500 block of Avery Road—A 17-year-old boy was arrested for possessing a concealed weapon (knife) on school property at 2 p.m. Feb. 6.

200 block of East Middle Lane—A 33-year-old man was arrested for theft, disorderly conduct and obstructing and hindering a police investigation between 1 and 1:30 a.m. Feb. 7.

2100 block of Baltimore Road—A 14-year-old boy was arrested for possessing marijuana at around 2 p.m. Feb. 6.

2100 block of Baltimore Road—A 14-year-old boy was arrested for possession of a deadly concealed weapon (knife) on school property between 1:40 and 2:05 p.m. Feb. 7.

700 block of Rockville Pike—A 37-year-old man was arrested for trespassing 10:35 a.m. Feb. 9.

Unit block of Dawson Avenue—A 36-year-old man was arrested for 2nd degree assault between 6 and 6:50 p.m. Feb. 10.

 

Incidents

1828 Cliffe Hill Way—The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a laptop and a camera from a residence between 9 p.m. Feb. 1 and 1 a.m. Feb. 2.

2100 block of Veirs Mill Road—The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed an unattended purse from a front room at a business, between 1:30 and 1:55 a.m. Feb. 5. 

Unit block of Southlawn Court—The complainant reported that an unknown subject entered a locker room and removed an iPod, two sets of headphones, a bag, a pair of sneakers, a duffel bag, money, hair gel, clothing and a cell phone case, from several unattended, unlocked lockers at a sports facility on Feb. 2, between 1:45 and 2 p.m.  The suspect is described as:

  • White male with a light skin tone, age 25 to 40, between 5'10" and 6'0" tall at 165 to 200 pounds and a medium build. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with black lettering across the chest, gray sweat pants, black high-top sneakers with blue on top, white laces and red soles, and a red/white/blue Washington Capitals stocking hat with a blue ball on top.

300 block of Hungerford Drive—The complainants reported that an unknown subject removed a cell phone, a cordless drill, a bag of tools and money from two vehicles between 10:56 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. Feb. 6.

1700 block of Mark Lane—An unknown subject gained access by breaking a rear glass door to a residence between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Feb. 7. A laptop, jewelry and a canvass bag were reported missing.

300 block of Charles Street—An unknown subject gained access into an unlocked shed sometime between noon and 5 p.m. Feb. 7.  Tools were reported missing.

1700 block of Wilmart Street—An unknown subject attempted to gain access by prying a front door to a residence between noon Feb. 7 and 12:30 p.m. Feb. 10. No entry was made into the residence.

100 block of Windy Knoll Drive—An unknown subject gained access by breaking a windowpane on a rear door to a residence between 5:30 p.m.  Feb. 7 and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 8. Money was reported missing.

Unit block of Maryland Avenue—Two unknown subjects gained access by breaking the front door glass pane to a business between 3 and 3:30 a.m. Feb. 10.  Several cell phones and tablets were reported missing.

2200 block of Veirs Mill Road—The complainant reported that an unknown subject walked into the business and approached the counter at 2 p.m. Feb. 10.  The subject pulled out a handgun and demanded money.  The complainant complied and the subject left the business.  The suspect is described as:

  • B/M, last seen wearing a black leather jacket and a black ski mask and one glove on his left hand
