Rockville City Police: Drug and Assault Arrests

The following incident reports were provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Arrests

100 block of East Montgomery Avenue—A 19-year-old man was arrested on charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia on June 1 at 10:25 p.m.  Police said the man had an outstanding warrant for drug possession.

1600 block of Marshall Avenue— A 34-year-old man was arrested on charges of first- and second-degree assault on June 3 at 12:21 a.m.

300 block of Oak Knoll Terrace—A 25-year-old man was arrested on charges of second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, failing to obey a lawful order and 2 counts of obstructing and hindering a police investigation on June 3 at 5:38 p.m.

1600 block of Bradley Avenue—A 50-year-old woman was arrested on charges of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, resisting arrest, possession of a dangerous weapon (knife) with intent to injure on June 4, around 3:30 p.m.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested 7 a.m. June 5 on charges of mariuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession and possession of controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute for an earlier incident reported in the 200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive on June 4, at around 11:30 a.m.

700 block of Hungerford Drive—A 40-year-old man was arrested on charges of obstructing and hindering a police investigation, disorderly conduct, making a false statement to a police officer, and resisting arrest on June 8 at 4:30 p.m.

300 block of Martins Lane—A 14-year-old boy was arrested on charges of drug possession on June 8 at 6:17 p.m.


Incidents

1600 block of Lewis Avenue—A vacant house was broken into but nothing was taken. Police said the front and rear doors were forced open. The incident happened sometime between 10 a.m. May 13 and 9 a.m. June 9.

1600 block of Rockville Pike—Cosmetics were taken from a store at around 2:15 p.m. Police described the thief as a white female last seen wearing brown sandals, a pink blouse, black pants, a blue jean jacket, and a large purple bag.

1900 block of Veirs Mill Road—Police said a male stole a loaded cart full of groceries and laundry detergent on June 5, at around 8:45 p.m. The thief was described as a white male with a medium build, at 5’10” with short blond hair and light skin tone. He was seen getting into a gold Toyota sedan with Maryland plates.

900 block of Wade Avenue— Electronics, cash, a wallet, and a backpack were taken from a residence on June 5, between midnight and 6 a.m. Police said entry was via an unlocked window accessed by a ladder.

400 block of Farragut Avenue—Electronics, a watch and cash were taken from a locked home on June 6, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

14500 block of Avery Road—A female’s cell phone was pick-pocketed on June 7, between 10 and 11 a.m.

200 block of North Stonestreet Avenue—A cell phone was taken from a shelter locker on June 8.
