Rockville City Police: Copper Wire Theft, Marijuana Arrests Reported

The following incidents were supplied by Rockville City police. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Arrests

Norbeck Road and Avery Road—A 27-year-old man was arrested marijuana and cocaine possession, second-degree assault on a police officer and obstructing and hindering a police investigation at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25.

200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive—A 16-year-old boy was arrested for marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana on school property at around 1 p.m. Oct. 29.

Fleet Street and Mt. Vernon Place—Two 17-year-old boys were arrested for robbery, first- and second-degree assault and theft. Police said one of the youths was charged with possession of Oxycodone. The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. Oct. 29.

14000 block of Cove Lane—A 25-year-old and 33-year-old man were arrested for second-degree assault, and first- and third-degree burglary at around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29.

1900 block of Veirs Mill Road—A 29-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 30.

Park Road and Rockville Pike—A 39-year-old man was arrested for possession of a concealed dangerous weapon (knife), refusing to comply with a lawful order, and two counts of hindering and obstructing a police investigation at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 30.

14500 block of Avery Road—A 16-year-old boy was arrested for second-degree assault, resisting arrest, and obstructing and hindering a police investigation, on Oct. 31 between 8 and 8:30 a.m.

800 block of Veirs Mill Road—A 44-year-old man was arrested for possession of a concealed dangerous weapon (knife) at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

 

Incidents

Unit block of Choke Cherry Road—Six rolls of copper wires were taken from an unsecured section of a construction site between 7:50 a.m. Oct. 17 and 10 a.m. Oct. 29.

Unit block of Maryland Avenue—A lamp was taken from an unlocked lobby as a resident was leaving the building at 9:45 p.m. Oct. 23.

Unit block of Mannakee Street—A cell phone was taken Oct. 23, between 9:55 and 10:15 a.m.

1600 block of Rockville Pike—Two females entered a business, stocked their bags full of items and then left without paying. Police said the incident happened 2:45 p.m. Oct. 28.

800 block of Lincoln Street—Two cameras and three lenses were taken from a residence, entered through a rear door that was kicked in sometime between 3 p.m. Oct. 28 and 5 p.m. Oct. 30.

500 block of Elmcroft Boulevard—Video game console, several video games and movies were taken from an apartment window, accessed through a kitchen window on Oct. 29, between 6:30 and 5 p.m.

1600 block of East Jefferson Street—A bicycle was taken from a storage unit sometime between noon Oct. 31 and noon Nov. 3. Police said the storage unit, which was locked, was accessed by someone who cut a whole through the wall in the storage unit next door.

1200 block of Gladstone Drive—A wallet, cash, a drier’s license, and credit and gifts cards were taken from a vehicle between 12:30 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 31.

300 block of Martina Lane—A cell phone, wallet, credit cards, keys, driver’s license and clothes were taken from a locked locker at recreation center Oct. 31, between 2:15 and 3:45 p.m. 

15800 block of Shady Grove Road—Cash was taken from a forced-open safe in an office suite between 7 p.m. Oct. 31 and 6:50 a.m. Nov. 1.

300 block of Hungerford Drive—A pair of designer sunglasses left behind at a business were reported missing 11 a.m. Nov. 2.

1800 block of Piccard Drive—A purse and wallet were taken from her vehicle on Nov. 2, between 5:15 and 6 p.m.
