Rockville City Police: Child Abuse Arrest, Guns and Jewelry Burgled, More

The following incidents were supplied by Rockville City Police. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Arrests 

400 block of Denham Road—A 28-year-old man was arrested for second-degree assault and second-degree child abuse on Oct. 6 at 11:55 p.m.

400 block of Calvin Lane—A 20-year-old man was arrested Oct. 8 on an arrest warrant for one count of first-degree aggravated assault and two counts of second-degree aggravated assault that occurred Oct. 4 in the 300 block of Calvin Lane.

1000 block of Rockville Pike—A 23-year-old man was arrested for trespassing Oct. 9, between noon and 12:19 p.m.

400 block of Summer Garden Way—A 45-year-old woman was arrested for a first- and second-degree assault Oct. 9, between 9:45 p.m. and 9:58 p.m.

300 block of Hungerford Drive—A 32-year-old woman was arrested for second-degree assault and disorderly that happened from 11:17 p.m. Oct. 11 to 12:30 a.m. Oct. 12.


Incidents

Unit block of Martins Lane—air conditioning unit and copper pipes were taken from a residence between noon Oct. 2 and 3:45 p.m. Oct. 12. Police said accessed was gained through a key left inside a lockbox. 

Unit block of Calvin Court—Cash, jewelry and a handgun were taken from an unlocked residence sometime between 2:30 p.m. Oct. 4 and 11:15 a.m. Oct. 7.

2100 block of Baltimore Road—An unattended cell phone was taken while the victim attended practice at school Oct. 5, between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

500 block of Anderson Avenue—An iPhone was taken from an unlocked vehicle between 1 p.m. Oct. 6 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 7.

14900 block of Shady Grove Road—Cash was taken from a business on Oct. 7, between 3:40 and 3:45 a.m. Entry was gained through a broken out front glass door.

1900 block of Henry Road—An iPad, a charger, a book bag, a flip knife, and two books were taken from an unlocked vehicle on Oct. 7, between 9:30 and 10:36 p.m. Police said the iPad and book back were found Oct. 8 near the 13000 block of Broadwood erive. 

800 block of Rockville Pike—A wallet containing cash, credit cards and a driver’s license were taken while the alleged victim was at a store Oct. 10, between 11:15 and 11:30 a.m.

200 block of Currier Drive—Police said four people tried to break into a residence on Oct. 10, between 11:50 a.m. and noon, but were scared off.  Police offered detailed descriptions of three people they think were involved:

  • Black male; 5-feet, 10-inches tall; last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, white shoes, carrying a black backpack
  • Black male; 5-feet, 8-inches tall; last seen wearing black or dark blue pants with at least two white stripes, light grey hooded sweatshirt
  • A female of unknown race; 5-feet, 5-inches tall; last seen wearing blue pajama pants with grey print (possibly snowflakes), black puffy style jacket with a fur-lined hood 

Unit block of West Montgomery Avenue—Two speakers were taken from an unlocked vehicle between 6 and 8 p.m. Oct. 10.

Unit block of Maryland Avenue—An unattended iPad was taken from a library table Oct. 11, between 10 a.m. and noon.

1100 block of Seven Locks Road—A coat and a set of keys were taken from a locker room Oct. 11, between 11:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

1705 Mark Lane—A laptop and laptop bag were taken from an unlocked vehicle Oct. 11 between 7:30 and 10:30 p.m.

300 block of Broadwood Drive—A purse containing cash, a driver’s license and a credit card were taken from an unlocked vehicle sometime between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11 and 11 a.m. Oct. 12.

1100 block of Seven Locks Road—Purses, wallets, cash, jewelry, credit cards, and driver’s licenses were taken from three vehicles on Oct. 12, between 11 a.m. and 1:48 p.m.

1100 block of Parrish Drive—A purse, wallet and credit cards were taken from an unlocked vehicle on Oct. 13. between 12:15 and 12:43 p.m.
