Rockville City Police: Assault, Trespassing and Thefts Reported

Arrests and incidents through Feb. 25, according to Rockville city police.

The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department on Tuesday, Feb. 26. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

600 block of Hungerford Drive: A 58-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting on Thursday, Feb. 21 between 12:40 p.m. and 12:50 p.m.

Unit block of Monroe Street: A 63-year-old man was arrested for trespassing, disorderly intoxication and two outstanding arrest warrants on Friday, Feb. 22 between 3:00 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. The first warrant was through the Takoma Park Police for failing to appear on a trespassing charge and the other through the Hyattsville Police for failing to appear on a theft charge.

700 block of First Street: A 39-year-old man was arrested for second-degree assault on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 4:45 p.m.

Incidents

200 block of Taylor Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed U.S. currency, an iPod and miscellaneous documents from his rented room at a residence between Sunday, Feb. 10 at 8 a.m. and Monday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m.

5700 block of Vandergrift Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed her cell phone while at a party on Saturday, Feb. 16 between 2:30 p.m. and 9:30p.m.

700 block of Hungerford Drive: The complainant stated that an unknown subject removed her wallet on Monday, Feb. 18 between 12:51 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.

1200 block of W. Montgomery Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a pair of shoes, a pair of designer glasses, a wallet and a cable box froma vehicle between 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19 and 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20.

1900 block of Bradley Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a dryer from her carport and a 15-foot section of gutter from her yard on Wednesday, Feb. 20 between 2:30 p.m. and 2:40 p.m.

1600 block of Farragut Avenue: Unknown subjects attempted to gain access to a residence by kicking in the rear door at 10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22. The subjects did not gain entry because the occupants were home at the time of the incident.

Unit block of Southlawn Court: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed two purses and cash from two vehicles between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. onSunday, Feb. 24.

200 block of First Street: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a purse and cash from a church on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m.
