Rockville City Police: 11 TVs, 100 Storage Crates, 44 keys and a Vehicle Reported Stolen Over Christmas Holiday

The following incidents were supplied by Rockville Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Arrests

2000 block of Veirs Mill Road—A 29-year-old man was arrested on charges of trespassing at around 9:30 a.m. Dec. 26.  During the investigation, it was learned that the subject also had an outstanding Rockville City Police warrant for failing to appear on a previous trespassing charge. The man was served the warrant during processing.

13200 block of Atlantic Avenue—A 28-year-old man was arrested on charges of obstructing and hindering a police investigation, drinking in public, and making false statements to a police officer on Dec. 28 at 5:46 p.m.  During the investigation, it was learned that the man also had an outstanding warrant for drinking in public through Metro Transit Police.  The man was served the warrant during processing.

100 block of Gibbs Street—A 21-year-old man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment on Dec. 28, between 12:34 and 1 a.m.

Incidents

12800 block of Atlantic Avenue—Cash and jewelry were taken from a vacant residence sometime between 12:30 p.m. between Dec. 19 and and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 20. Police said a rear window was broken.

Unit block of Maryland Avenue—Eleven televisions were taken from a storage room sometime between noon Dec. 24 and 6:45 a.m. Dec. 26. Police a lock was pried off a storage room door inside an unsecured building that is under construction.

800 block of Rockville Pike—A vehicle and 44 keys were taken from a business sometime on Dec. 25, between 3:30 and 6:45 a.m. Police said a lock was removed and the front door was pried open. 

700 block of Rockville Pike—A purse was taken from a counter as a female tied a child’s shoe at around 4:30 p.m. Dec. 25.

1500 block of Rockville Pike—One hundred unattended storage crates were taken from a rear parking lot of a business on Dec. 28, sometime between midnight and 7 a.m.
