Police Stations in Rockville To Collect Unwanted Prescriptions on Drug Take Back Day

Drop off unwanted prescription drugs at two Rockville locations on April 27.

As part of local Drug Take Back day, two Rockville locations are among 11 in Montgomery County where residents may drop off unwanted prescription drugs, according to a news release.

Those looking to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescriptions can bring unused medications for disposal to one of the following locations between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on April 27:

1st District (Rockville) Station – 1451 Seven Locks Road, Rockville
2nd District (Bethesda) Station – 7359 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda
3rd District (Silver Spring) Station – 801 Sligo Avenue, Silver Spring
4th District (Wheaton) Station – 2300 Randolph Road, Wheaton
5th District (Germantown) Station – 20000 Aircraft Drive, Germantown
6th District (Gaithersburg) Station – 45 West Watkins Mill Road, Gaithersburg

In its four prior Take Back events, DEA and its partners took in more than 1.5 million pounds—nearly 775 tons—of pills. 

The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
