UPDATE: Missing Rockville Boy Found

Anthony Alexander Escobar, 14, had been missing since Thursday afternoon.

County police say Anthony Alexander Escobar, 14, of Rockville was found safe and unharmed on Friday in the District of Columbia.

Police and family thanked the pubic, media and local listservs for publicizing Escobar's disappearance.

County police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 14-year-old boy from Rockville.

Anthony Alexander Escobar, of the 14900 block of Broschart Road, was last seen near Broschart Road in Shady Grove about 1:40 p.m. on Thursday, according to a county police news release.

He is Hispanic, about 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, the release said. He was last seen wearing a gray and tan hooded sweatshirt with a black T-shirt underneath and black sweatpants.

He may be wearing glasses with frames that are black on top and clear on the bottom.

He has two tattoos: One reading “Johanna” on his neck and one of a teardrop on an index finger, the release said.

Police and family are concerned for his welfare because of his age and worry that he might be in need of medical attention.
