Police said a robbery attempt Wednesday at a Cabin John CVS was likely carried out by the same people who tired to rob a Wells Fargo Bank in Rockville on Tuesday.
In each case a shot was fired by one of the robbers, police said. No injuries were reported.
On Wednesday police released photos from the latest robbery, at the Cabin John Shopping Center CVS.
Police said the robbery happened at around 4 a.m. Two males—one of them showing a handgun—demanded cash from a store employee, but ran out of the store without getting any loot.
One shot was fired outside the store, according to police.
Police said the same men tried to rob a bank the day before the CVS incident.
At around 11 a.m. Tuesday, two males entered a Wells Fargo Bank at 110 Congressional Lane demanding money from a teller. Police said one of the robbers vaulted the counter while the other fired a shot into the ceiling.
But the robbers left the bank without getting any money, according to police.
