Police Investigate Rockville Bank Robbery

The suspect robbed the Capital One Bank on Halpine Drive Saturday morning.

Montgomery County Police are investigating the robbery of a Capital One Bank branch, located at 101 Halpine Drive, that occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect, who is described as a "black male, 6’3”-6’5” tall, with a mustache." At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a white dress shirt, a black tie, a hooded black jacket and a dark baseball cap.

According to a press statement, Police say the perpetrator walked into the bank, passed a note to the teller demanding cash and implied that he had a gun. The amount of cash that was stolen has not been disclosed.

The man exited the bank and was seen walking toward the Twinbrook Metro Station.
