Police: Call for Shooting Was a Broken Window

Chief Treschuk: A man called 911 and said he had been shot.

Rockville City Police responded to a call of shots fired in the 100 block of Watkins Pond Boulevard in Rockville’s King Farm neighborhood on Thursday evening.

What they found was a man who had put his arm through a window, Chief Terrance N. Treschuk said.

“There was no shooting at all,” said Treschuk, who was out-of-town but had been briefed on the incident.

A man injured himself when he put his arm through a window at his home, Treschuk said. 

The man, who has development disabilities, called 911 and reported that he had been shot, Treschuk said.

Officers were dispatched about 7:40 p.m.

At 8:15 p.m., several police cars and an ambulance were just leaving the scene.

The man’s condition was not immediately available.
