Montgomery County Police: Vehicle Theft Reported in Rockville, Weapons Offense Arrest in Aspen Hill

The following incidents were supplied by Montgomery County police for Rockville and its surrounding region. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

A vehicle theft was reported between 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 and 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13 in the 12100 block of Parklawn Drive in Rockville.

An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 1500 block of Rockwood Drive in Rockville, between 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 and 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

Five thefts from vehicles were reported between Monday, Sept. 9 and Friday, Sept. 13 in this beat. Incidents were reported on Hungerford Drive, Frederick Road, Ladyshire Lane and Rockville Pike in Rockville. Items taken included: laptop, jewelry, sunglasses, stereo system, clothing, coins and gas.

A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 7600 block of Nutwood Court in Rockville at 1 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16. Unlocked door; cash taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 9500 block of Watts Branch Drive in Rockville at around 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12.

A residential burglary was reported in the 13500 block of Glen Mill Road in Rockville on Saturday, Sept. 14, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. No forced entry; property taken.

A commercial burglary was reported at the Dunkin Donuts, 12168 Darnestown Road in North Potomac between 4 and 4:16 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 13900 block of Marianna Drive in Rockville on Monday, Sept. 16 at 2:38 p.m. No further information is available yet.

An aggravated assault was reported in the 12900 block of Parkland Drive in Rockville on Monday, Sept. 16 at 9:21 p.m. Police said the people involved knew each other. Arrested: Female, age 54, from Rockville

An aggravated assault was reported near Georgia Avenue and Norbeck Road in Aspen Hill on Friday, Sept. 13, between 2 and 2:35 p.m. Police said a male threatened another person with a weapon during a traffic dispute.

A residential burglary was reported in the 3200 block of Whispering Pines Drive in Aspen Hill on Tuesday, Sept. 17, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. No forced entry; property taken.

A weapons offense was reported in the 3700 block of Bel Pre Road in Aspen Hill. A 17-year-old boy from Silver Spring was arrested.
