Police: Vehicle Theft Reported at CarMax, Darcars Volvo Burgled in Rockville

The following information was supplied by Montgomery County police for Rockville and the surrounding area. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

An armed robbery was reported in the 2200 block of Rockland Avenue in Rockville on Sunday, July 21, between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. Police said two males threatened the alleged victims with a weapon and obtained property.

A theft was reported at BMW Excluservice, 12224 Parklawn Drive in Rockville, on Thursday July 18 at 10:51 a.m. Police are looking for a black male between 40 and 50 years old at 5 feet 9 inches tall, with short dreadlocks and a dark skin tone.

An attempted robbery was reported at California Tortilla, 199 E. Montgomery Avenue in Rockville on Wednesday, July 17 at 6 p.m. Police are looking for a 23-year-old black male, 6 feet 3 inches tall at 185 pounds, with tattoos on both arms from his shoulders to elbows.

A commercial burglary was reported at Darcars Volvo, 15401 Frederick Road in Rockville, between 8:15 p.m. Saturday, July 20 and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, July 21. Forced entry; property taken.

A vehicle theft was reported at CarMax, 15931 Frederick Road in Derwood on Wednesday, July 17,  between 7:22 and 7:28 a.m.

A residential burglary was reported in the 14100 block of Stonecutter Drive in North Potomac between Friday, July 19 and Sunday, July 21. No forced entry; property taken.

A residential garage burglary was reported in the 14900 block of Joshua Tree Road in North Potomac on Tuesday, July 23, between 2 and 7 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 14700 block of Chisholm Landing Way in North Potomac on Tuesday, July 23, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

Three thefts from vehicles were reported in the 12000 block of Triple Crown Road in North Potomac, primarily occurring Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21. A prescription bottle was the only item stolen. A fourth vehicle on Stonecutter Drive was rummaged through and food was taken.

An attempted vehicle theft was reported in the 12100 block of Triple Crown Road in North Potomac, between 11 p.m. Saturday, July 20 and 8:30 a.m. Sunday, July 21.

A vehicle theft was reported in the 12500 block of Shoemaker Way in North Potomac, between Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21. The victim’s second vehicle was also entered and searched, though nothing was taken.

An aggravated assault was reported in the 3300 block of Hewitt Avenue in Aspen Hill on Sunday, July 14.  The suspect is known to the victim.

A 31-year-old Aspen Hill woman was arrested following reports of an aggravated assault in the 2500 block of McVeary Court in Aspen Hill at 2:25 a.m. Sunday, July 21.

A residential burglary was reported in the 3600 block of Bel Pre Road in Aspen Hill between July 13 and July 20. No forced entry; nothing taken.

A commercial burglary was reported at the Aspen Hill Library, 4407 Aspen Hill Road in Rockville, between 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17. Forced entry; nothing taken.
