Montgomery County Police: Sex Assault Reported Near Shady Grove Metro

A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Basildon Circle in Rockville between Monday, Dec. 9 and Wednesday, Dec. 11. No forced entry; property taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at Randolph Beer & Wine, 5401 Randolph Road in Rockville between 11 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 and 10:11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12. Forced entry; property taken.

An attempted theft from vehicle occurred in the 900 block of Lewis Avenue in Rockville at midnight Sunday, Dec. 15. Nothing taken.  

Eleven vehicle-related thefts were reported overnight between Monday, Dec. 16 and Tuesday, Dec. 17. Cash and coins were taken. Incidents occurred on: Beall Avenue, Carr Avenue, Smallwood Road, Bickford Avenue, Great Falls Road, Forest Avenue, Montgomery Avenue, Grason Court and Bradford Drive in Rockville.

A sex assault occurred near the Shady Grove Metro, 15903 Somerville Drive in Rockville on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6:02 p.m. The suspect inappropriately touched the victim. Police said are looking for a white male who was last seen wearing a bus driver’s uniform and may have left on a Ride-On bus. Police are looking for a heavy set man between 40 and 50 years-old, between  5-feet, 2-inches and 5-feet, 4-inches tall, who speaks Spanish and English.

An attempted theft from vehicle occurred in the 9900 block of Willow Tree Terrace in Rockville at around 2 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13.

A vehicle theft occurred in the 11900 block of Hunters Lane in Rockville at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 1:45.

An aggravated assault occurred at the Bauer Drive Community Center, 14625 Bauer Drive in Rockville, at around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10.  Arrested: Male, 16, Rockville  

A residential burglary occurred in the 13700 block of Arctic Avenue in Rockville on Monday, Dec. 16, between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. No forced entry; property taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 4300 block of Parkland Court in Rockville on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at an unknown time. Police said the people involved knew each other.

An aggravated assault occurred in front of Giant located at 13645 Connecticut Avenue in Aspen Hill at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. Police are looking for a black male, between 24 and 29 years old, 6-feet tall with a medium build who was last seen wearing silver glasses, a dark green jacket with a fur hood, and blue jeans.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 7200 block of Sugar Maple Court in Rockville midnight Friday, Dec. 13. Forced entry; nothing taken.
