Montgomery County Police: Sex Assault, Burglaries Reported in Rockville

The following incidents were supplied by Montgomery County police for Rockville and its surrounding area. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

An attempted strong-armed robbery was reported near the AC Moore store, 5700 Bou Avenue in North Bethesda on Friday, July 26, at around 6:30 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and unsuccessfully tried to take property. Arrested: Male, 13, from Washington, DC; female, of 14, of an unknown address

A commercial burglary was reported at Dry Clean Town, 15813 Frederick Road in Derwood, between 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, and 7 a.m. Thursday, July 25. No forced entry; property taken.

A commercial burglary was reported in the 10800 block of Symphony Park Drive in Rockville sometime between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25. Unknown entry; property taken.

A second commercial burglary was reported in the 10800 block of Symphony Park Drive in Rockville, sometime between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 25. Unknown entry; property taken.

A sexual assault was reported in the 16900 block of Old Colony Way in Rockville at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 28. Police said the people involved knew each other.

A residential burglary was reported in the 16200 block of Monty Court in Rockville between 7 p.m. Friday, July 26 and 1:45 p.m. Saturday, July 27. Forced entry; nothing taken.
