Montgomery County Police: Sex Assault, Burglaries Reported in Rockville

The following incidents were supplied by Montgomery County police for July 8-16. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

An aggravated assault was reported Sunday, July 14 at 9:36 p.m. in the 5900 block of Halpine Road in Rockville. The people involved knew each other. Arrested: Male, 50, from Rockville.

A residential burglary was reported Thursday, July 11, between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., in the 13200 block of Twinbrook Parkway in Rockville. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 1100 block of Edmonston Drive in Rockville Tuesday, July 16 at 6:43 p.m. Forced entry; unknown what was taken.

Two thefts from vehicles were reported overnight Wednesday, July 10 to Thursday, July 11 in the area of Linthicum Street and Twinbrook Parkway in Rockville. The incident on Linthicum had no signs of forced entry; a Bluetooth device was reported missing. The incident on Twinbrook Parkway was entered by force; a wallet and jacket were taken.

An attempted commercial burglary was reported in the hundred block of Hungerford Drive in Rockville Wednesday, July 10 at 8:21 p.m. Nothing taken.

A commercial burglary was reported in the hundred block of Hungerford Drive in Rockville overnight, between Wednesday, July 10 and Thursday, July 11. Forced entry; unknown what was taken.

A residential burglary was reported Tuesday, July 9, between 5 a.m. and 6:19 p.m., in the 400 block of MacArthur Drive in Rockville. No forced entry; property taken.

An attempted residential burglary was reported Thursday, July 11 between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Bradford Road in Rockville. Attempted entry; nothing taken.

A sex assault was reported at the Red Roof Inn, 16001 Shady Grove Road in Rockville Friday, July 12 at 2:30 a.m. The people involved knew each other.

A theft from vehicle was reported on Monroe Street in Rockville Wednesday, July 10, between 11:20 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Unlocked door; wallet taken.
