Montgomery County Police: Armed Robbery, Sex Assault Reported in Rockville

The following incidents were supplied by Montgomery County police for the Rockville region. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

An armed robbery was reported in the 6000 block of California Circle in Rockville on Monday, Sept. 9 at 8:21 a.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property. Police are looking for a black male in his 30s, who is 6 feet, 1-inches tall at 250 pounds and a shaved head. Police said the male was wearing a black shirt with multiple colors on it and dark sunglasses.

A sex assault was reported at Monument Park, 550 Maryland Avenue in Rockville on Thursday, Sept. 5 between 7 and 8 p.m. Police said the people involved know each other.

A theft from vehicle was reported outside Ollies Beer & Wine, 2011 Veirs Mill Road in Rockville sometime on Friday, Sept. 6. Doors were left unlocked and a credit card was taken.

A strong-arm robbery was reported at Westmore Avenue and N. Horners Lane in Rockville on Thursday, Sept. 5 between, 2:20 and 4 p.m. Police are looking for two females and one male.

Six thefts from vehicles were reported in this beat during this reporting period. Two were unlocked, two had entry forced, one had unknown entry and one is unknown. Streets affected include: Hungerford Drive, Lynch Street, Redland Road, Grandin Avenue, and Derwood Circle in Rockville.

A vehicle theft was reported in the hundred block of W. Gude Drive in Rockville between Friday, Sept. 6 and Monday, Sept. 9.

A vehicle theft was reported at Fishers Lumber, 525 E. Gude Drive in Rockville between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3 and 7 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4. No significant events were reported during this reporting period.

A residential burglary was reported in the 10200 block of Shining Willow Drive in Rockville on Monday, Sept. 9 just after 10 p.m. Unknown entry; nothing taken.

An aggravated assault was reported in the 12800 block of Parkland Drive in Rockville on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 2:44 a.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and was arrested. Arrested: Male, age 19, from Forest Glen

A residential burglary was reported in the 14000 block of Arctic Avenue in Rockville on Wednesday, Sept. 4 between 1 and 5 p.m. No forced entry; nothing taken.

An attempted burglary was reported in the 13100 block of Grenoble Drive in Rockville on Monday, Sept. 9 at 3:45 p.m. Attempted entry; nothing taken.
