Montgomery County Crime Summary: Thefts, Burglaries Reported in Rockville

The following incidents were reported by Montgomery County police. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Vehicle-related thefts were reported at the following locations:

  • May 28 to May 29, between 10 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.—A backpack and duffel bag with clothing, sunglasses and coffee mugs were taken from a vehicle in the 5900 block of Montrose Road in Rockville. Forced entry.
  • May 28 to May 29, between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.—A laptop was taken from a vehicle in the 1600 block of E. Jefferson Street. Forced entry.
  • May 28 to May 29, between 8:05 p.m. and 8:05 a.m.—Several poker chips and two pair of sunglasses were taken from a vehicle in the 12000 block of Chase Crossing Circle in Rockville. Unlocked doors.
  • May 28 to May 30—Cash was taken from a vehicle in the 700 block of Cabin John Parkway in Rockville.

An aggravated assault was reported in the 1600 block of Bradley Avenue in Rockville. The suspect is known to the victim. Arrested: Female, 50, of no fixed address.

A residential burglary was reported on Thursday, May 30 at 4:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Linthicum Street in Rockville. Unknown entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported between May 29 at 5 p.m. and May 30 at 9:25 a.m. in the 12900 block of Twinbrook Parkway in Rockville. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported on May 31 between 9:10 am and 12:10 pm in the 5500 block of Besley Court in Rockville. Forced entry; property taken.

A commercial burglary was reported at Fixtures USA, 5946 Halpine Road in Rockville between 5 p.m. May 27 and 10:30 a.m. May 28. Forced entry; property taken.

A vehicle theft was reported in the 14500 block of Parkvale Road in Rockville between May 29 and May 30. Arrested: Male, 19, from Rockville.

A vehicle theft was reported in the 900 block of Veirs Mill Road in Rockville, between 3:15 and 11 a.m. May 31.

Eleven vehicle thefts were reported in the 5900 block of Lemay Road in Rockville, between 10:30 p.m. June 3 and 6:30 a.m. June 4.

An aggravated assault was reported in the 500 block of Elmcroft Boulevard in Rockville on June 2 at 8:37 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim. Arrested: Male, 45, from Rockville.

A residential burglary was reported in the 10200 block of Silver Bell Terrace in Rockville on June 2, between 3 and 7 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 14100 block of Blue Ash Way in Rockville on June 2 at 5:30 p.m. No forced entry; nothing taken.

An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 14900 block of Westbury Road in Aspen Hill on June 1 at 1:38 p.m. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken. Arrested: Male, 17, from Rockville.
