MAP: Find a Party for Tuesday's National Night Out

City and county police register 34 parties in and around Rockville. Find one on our map.

Rockville will celebrate the 19th annual National Night Out on Tuesday with block parties around the city.

Rockville Mayor Phyllis Marcuccio and members of the City Council will attend parties around the city between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m., the city announced in a news release.

Night Out is intended to bring the community together, with neighborhoods, businesses, civic groups and law enforcement agencies pledging to help the fight against crime and support anti-crime programs.

Thirty-one parties have registered with Rockville City Police. See the map above to find a party near you. The locations are:

  • Beall's Grant, North Washington Street at Dawson Avenue, 6:30-9 p.m.
  • College Gardens, College Gardens Park, 6:30-9 p.m.
  • East Rockville, Charles Street between Seth Place and Park Road, 6-10 p.m.
  • East Rockville, Pump House Park, 6-9 p.m.
  • Fallsbend, 1126 Bettstrail Way, 6-9 p.m.
  • Fallsridge, 1024 Willowleaf Way, 6-9 p.m.
  • Heritage Park, Heritage Park Cooperative Park Deck No. 2, 6-10 p.m.
  • Hungerford, 633 West Lynfield Drive, 7-9 p.m.
  • Hungerford, Vashi Lane cul-de-sac, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • King Farm, 300 Saddle Ridge Circle, 7-9 p.m.
  • Lincoln Park, Lenmore Avenue between Frederick and Spring Avenues, 4-9:30 p.m.
  • Maryvale, 1251 First Street, 6-9 p.m.
  • Redgate Farms, between 1777 and 1779 Redgate Farms Court, 6-9 p.m.
  • Rockshire, top of Surry Court, 6-10 p.m.

Twinbrook Swimming Pool (TSP) can hold three public open house days to introduce the pool toRead More perspective members. This year the dates are June 8, July 13 and August 10. The cost is $5 per person. The TSP has a big insurance policy to cover swimmers. Not sure free is appropriate. As a private membership pool, there are regulations that must be followed.

It sounds like your daughter and god daughter don't have their own phones? No matter my children's age, I make it a point to know the running times of the movies they're at, especially if I am the one who is going to be picking them up. We warn children--especially girls and young women--not to go to strangers for help. We know that of the three girls, the man kidnapped one who was his daughter's friend after giving her a lift.
