I-270 Closed Briefly For Suicidal Subject
Interstate 270 was closed in both directions Friday evening after a suicidal subject threatened to leap from the sky ramp, police said.
Maryland State troopers briefly closed I-270 in Rockville in both directions Friday evening due to an attempted suicide, Maryland State Police reported.
State troopers responded to the Interstate’s sky ramp around 8 p.m. finding a 22-year-old Rockville woman at the ramp’s ledge, said Cpl. George Butler, spokesperson for the department. Troopers coaxed her off of the ledge and she was transported to Suburban Hospital in Bethesda with no injuries, he said.
