UPDATE: Name of Germantown Homicide Victim Released

A reward of up to $10,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest.

A man in his early twenties was shot to death in Germantown Tuesday night, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.

Police on Wednesday identified the victim as James Allen Frazier, 21, of the 200 block of Frederick Avenue, says The Washington Post.

At 10:01 p.m., officials received a 911 call that there had been a shooting in the area of Drumcastle Court, police said.

Officers found Frazier on Oxbridge Drive at Route 355/Frederick Road, according to a report from Montgomery County police.

Frazier was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Authorities released a description of a possible suspect, described as black, with a medium build, wearing an overcoat, and a pair of dark, green, baggy pants.

Police asked anyone with information about the homicide to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-8477, or people may submit a tip online.

Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest and/or indictment. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
