City Crime Report: Attempted Burglary Reported, Assault Arrests Made

The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

 Arrests

On Feb. 21, 19-year-old male was arrested for first-degree burglary following an incident that occurred on Nov. 19, 2012 in the unit block of Alsace Lane.

700 block of Fallsgrove Drive—A 26-year-old male was arrested for destruction of property on Feb. 26, between 1:30 and 2 a.m.

400 block of Redland Boulevard—A 32-year-old male was arrested for shoplifting on Feb. 27, between 4:46 p.m. and 5:28 p.m.

1700 block of Chapman Avenue—Five males, between 11 and 14 years old, were arrested for attempted second-degree assault and conspiracy to commit second degree assault on March 2, between 2:40 and 2:45 p.m.  In addition, two of the males were also charged with attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Incidents

1300 block of Crawford Drive—An unknown subject gained access by unknown means into a residence was being renovated on Feb. 22, between midnight and 8 a.m. Once inside the unknown subject removed several kitchen appliances.

400 block of North Washington Street—The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a GPS from an unlocked vehicle on Feb. 28, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

500 block of Pinewood Road—The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a camera and an ipod from his room at a residence, between 7 a.m. Feb. 28- and a.m. and 5:30 p.m. March 1.

100 block of Brice Road—An unknown subject gained access through an unlocked side basement door to a residence on Feb. 28, between 11:30 and 11:50 a.m.  Once inside the unknown subject removed several items of jewelry.

1400 block of Rockville Pike—The complainant reported that an unknown subject entered the business, approached the cash register, then implying he had a gun, demanded money on March 1, between 7:35 and 7:40 p.m. The complainant and a co-worker ran to the back office and notified police. The subject then left the business. Nothing was obtained by the subject. The subject is described as a black male, 6’0” tall with a slim build. The suspect was last seen wearing a red hoodie with white lettering and a black mask.

200 block of North Adams Street—The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed an iPad, and prescription medication from a vehicle between 11:59 p.m. March 1, and 9 a.m. March 2.
