Rockville Crime: Attempted Sexual Assault, A Peeping Tom and Thefts from Vehicles

Incidents in Rockville from June 28 to July 5 according to Montgomery County Police.

 

The following is compiled from Montgomery County Police Department crime summaries. Arrests do not imply guilt.

5900 block of Halpine Road: An attempted residential burglary occurred between 10 p.m. on July 2 and 8 a.m. on July 3. Attempted forced entry. Nothing taken.

1600 block of Coral Sea Drive: A theft from a vehicle occurred at 11:14 p.m. on July 3. Property and cash were taken from an unlocked vehicle.

1200 block of Atlantic Avenue: A theft from a vehicle occurred between 7 p.m. on July 3 and 10:20 a.m. on July 4. There was no sign of forced entry. A box with quarters was taken.

800 block of Reading Avenue: A residential burglary occurred between 12:44 and 1:35 p.m. on June 28. Unforced entry. Property taken.

300 block of Grandin Avenue: A residential garage burglary occurred at 3:20 p.m. on June 28. Unforced entry. Property taken.

200 block of Harrison Street: A theft from a vehicle occurred during the overnight between June 29 and June 30. No forced entry. Property and cash taken.

Unit block of Beall Avenue: An attempted sexual assault occurred at 1:20 a.m. on July 5. The suspect inappropriately touched the victim.

200 block of Blaze Climber Way: A peeping tom incident occurred at 11:43 a.m. on July 2. The suspect was seen looking into windows.

300 block of Redland Boulevard: A residential garage burglary occurred between 10:30 and 10:40 p.m. on July 3. Nothing taken.

300 block of Garden View Square: A residential garage burglary occurred between 10:55 and 11:55 p.m. on July 3. No forced entry. Nothing taken.

400 block of Elmcroft Boulevard: An attempted residential burglary occurred at 12:28 a.m. on July 4. Attempted forced entry. Nothing taken.

1800 Piccard Drive: A theft from a vehicle occurred at between 8 and 9 p.m. on July 3. A purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle.

1190 Rockville Pike: A commercial burglary occurred at the Mini Cooper dealership at 1:15 a.m. on July 2. Forced entry. Nothing taken.

13500 block of Hayworth Drive: A residential burglary occurred between 4 p.m. on June 30 and 4 p.m. on July 1. Attempted forced entry. Nothing taken.

Three vehicle thefts occurred between June 29 and 30:

  • 9600 block of Traville Gateway Drive at 11:33 p.m.
  • 300 block of Fallsgrove Drive between 6:30 p.m. and 6:50 a.m.
  • 300 block of Prettyman Drive between 11:59 p.m. and 8 a.m. 

12300 block of McCrossin Lane: A residential burglary occurred between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on June 28. Forced entry. Property taken.

2500 block of Baltimore Road: Four thefts from vehicles occurred overnight between June 28 and 29. All four had forced entry. Vehicle parts and a GPS unit were taken.
