Attempted Armed Robbery at Metro, a Convenience Store Armed Robbery and a Mugging, in County Police Reports

Arrests and incidents on Rockville beats for Dec. 10-18, according to Montgomery County police.

 

The following is compiled from Montgomery County Police Department crime summaries. Arrests do not imply guilt. 

Randolph Road and Parklawn Drive: An aggravated assault occurred at 11 p.m. Dec. 15. The suspects are known to the victim.

12200 block of Gaynor Road: A residential attempted burglary occurred between 7:25 and 7:56 a.m. Dec. 14. Attempted forced entry. Nothing taken.

12725 Twinbrook Parkway: A theft occurred at a construction site between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Dec. 17. Eighteen brass water valves were taken.

250 Rockville Pike: An attempted armed robbery occurred at the Rockville Metro station at 9 p.m. Dec. 16. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and unsuccessfully attempted to obtain property.

Frederick Road and Redland Boulevard: A strong-arm robbery occurred at 9 p.m. Dec. 14. The suspect assaulted the victim and obtained property.

16254 Frederick Road: An armed robbery occurred at the Food Express convenience store at 12:25 a.m. Dec. 18. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

Suspect description: Male, 22 to 28 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches, 170 to 180 pounds. Last seen wearing glasses, a blue puffy winter jacket and black jeans.

Indianola Drive, Grinnell Drive, Buena Vista Drive and Oskaloosa Drive in Derwood: Nine thefts from vehicles occurred Dec. 15-16. No forced entry. Loose items in the vehicles were taken, such as coins, GPS units and cell phones.
