Arrests

5900 block of Halpine Road: A residential burglary occurred at 9 p.m. on July 16. Unforced entry. Nothing taken. A 38-year-old man from Gaithersburg was arrested.

779 Hungerford Drive: An aggravated assault occurred in the parking lot of the at 4:25 p.m. on July 17. A 50-year-old man from Centreville, VA was arrested.

1000 block of Julian Place: An aggravated assault occurred at 10:31 p.m. on July 15. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon. A 58-year-old man from Rockville was arrested.

Incidents

5100 block of Crossfield Court: An aggravated assault occurred at 4:20 a.m. on July 15. The suspects pointed a weapon at the victim.

Suspect descriptions:

  • A black male, 28 years old, 5 feet 11 inches, 150 pounds.
  • A Hispanic male, 27 years old, 5 feet 7 inches, 160 pounds.

11400 block of Grayling Lane: A residential burglary occurred at 2:23 p.m. on July 13. Unknown means of entry. Unknown whether anything was taken.

5451 Randolph Road: Two commercial burglaries occurred at auto repair businesses between July 13 and 15:

  • Forced entry. Nothing taken.
  • Forced entry. Nothing taken.

5117 Crossfield Court: A commercial burglary occurred at the pool, between 2 p.m. July 10 and 8:45 a.m. July 11. Forced entry. Nothing taken.

2010 Veirs Mill Road: An attempted robbery occurred in front of , at 10:26 p.m. on July 16. The suspect threatened the victim and obtained property.

Suspect description: A Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches, 150 to 170 pounds. Last seen wearing a  red bandana over his face a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Lewis Avenue and Rockland Avenue: An armed robbery occurred at 11:30 p.m. on July 16. The suspect displayed a weapon and obtained property from the victim.

Suspect description: A black male, 18 to 25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches, 130 to 140 pounds. Last seen wearing a red baseball cap, a lightweight jacket, a white T-shirt and gray jeans.

718 Rockville Pike: A commercial burglary occurred overnight July 11-12 at a former auto dealership. Property was taken from the site.

Four thefts from vehicles occurred:

  • 13100 block of Atlantic Avenue: Between 12:30 and 6 a.m. on July 10. No sign of forced entry. GPS taken.
  • 5700 block of Crawford Drive: Between 8 a.m. on July 12 and 2 a.m. on July 13. Unknown entry. GPS taken.
  • 1605 Veirs Mill Road: Between 1 and 2:30 p.m. on July 15 at the . Unknown entry. A purse, wallet and cash, ID and credit cards were taken.
  • 300 block of Cedar Lane: Between 7:30 and 11 p.m. on July 16. Entry through unlocked doors. A purse and wallet were taken.

1700 block of Redgate Farms Court: Graffiti was discovered on the evening of July 10.

7408 Westmore Road: A vehicle theft occurred at between 11 a.m. on July 9 and 8 a.m. on July 10.

Vehicle description: A 2002 Dodge Durango, with Maryland tags.

220 Frederick Avenue: A vehicle theft occurred at , between 10 p.m. on July 10 and 9:30 a.m. on July 11. 

920 King Farm Boulevard: A robbery occurred at the , at 5:20 p.m. on July 11. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

Suspect description: A black male with dreadlocks.

14818 Southlawn Lane: A commercial burglary occurred at , between 8:40 and 9:02 p.m. on July 12. Forced entry. Nothing taken.

Three thefts from vehicles occurred overnight July 16-17:

  • Unit block of Hawthorn Court: Unlocked doors and small items removed from the vehicles.
  • 800 block of Azalea Drive: Unlocked doors and small items removed from the vehicles.
  • 700 block of Azalea Drive: Unknown entry. Unknown items taken.

9200 block of Darnestown Road: A commercial burglary occurred at a construction site between 2:30 p.m. on July 12 and 6 a.m. on July 13. Forced entry. Construction materials taken.

500 block of Oak Knoll Terrace: An attempted residential burglary occurred at 1:07 p.m. on July 12. Attempted forced entry. Nothing taken.

8900 block of Barrowgate Court: A residential burglary occurred between 6:50 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on July 12. Unforced entry. Property taken.
