Arrests and incidents for Aug. 15 to Aug. 25.

 

The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

A 19-year-old woman was arrested on June 28 and an 18-year-old woman was arrested Aug. 15, both for first-degree burglary and theft in an incident that occurred between 6 a.m. on April 2 and 6 p.m. on April 21 in the unit block of Chantilly Court.

200 block of Crabb Avenue: A 37-year-old man was arrested for forgery and theft on July 31 for an incident that occurred in the 800 block of Rockville Pike between 3:56 and 4:03 p.m. on July 30.

16000 block of Shady Grove Road: A 42-year-old woman was arrested for theft between 3:30 and 5 a.m. on Aug. 19.

300 block of Claggett Drive: A 17-year-old boy was arrested for theft and intent to commit theft and a 19-year-old man was also arrested for theft, rogue and vagabond, and making a false statement, between 6 and 6:11 a.m. on Aug. 19.

300 block of Park Road: A 28-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance—marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia at 12:50 p.m. on Aug. 21.

200 block of Park Road: A 34-year-old man was arrested for obstructing and hindering a police investigation at 6:04 p.m. on Aug. 21.

1300 block of Rockville Pike: A 29-year-old man was arrested for trespassing on at 1:37 p.m. on Aug. 22.

14900 block of Shady Grove Road: A 29-year-old man was arrested for theft at 4:08 p.m. on Aug. 22.

5900 block of Lemay Road: A 38-year-old man was arrested for second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest between 9:35 and 9:37 p.m. on Aug. 23.

500 block of Hungerford Drive: A 65-year-old man was arrested for violating a protection order between 11:34 and 11:45 a.m. on Aug. 24.

Grandin Avenue and Broadwood Drive: A 35-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance—crack cocaine and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia at 5:20 p.m. on Aug. 24.

300 block of Howard Avenue: A 29-year-old man was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance—marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia at 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 25.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 12 and a 17-year-old girl was arrested at 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 21 for third-degree burglary and attempted theft for an incident that occurred in the 800 block of Crocus Drive between 2:30 and 2:40 p.m. on Aug. 7.

Incidents

700 block of West Montgomery Avenue: An unknown subject gained access through an unsecured door at a residence between 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 11 p.m. on Aug. 5. U.S. currency taken. 

1600 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed four bottles of shampoo from a retail store between 12:45 and 1 p.m. on Aug. 16 and then left in the vehicle described below.

Suspect description: A white female, 40 years old, 5 feet 7 inches, 130 to 145 pounds, with brown eyes and brown medium length hair. Last seen wearing blue jeans and a black T-shirt.

Suspect vehicle description: A silver sedan, possibly with a Maryland license tag reading “BABYDUL.”

800 block of College Parkway: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a lock from a storage locker at an apartment building and removed two antique pens, a watch, two pots and two moving containers between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Aug. 18.

700 block of Princeton Place: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a delivery package containing nail polish remover and four DVDs from his front porch between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 20.

100 block of Ridgemont Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a radio/CD/DVD player and four center wheel caps from a vehicle between 10 p.m. on Aug. 20 and 4:50 p.m. on Aug. 22.

Unit block of Clemson Court: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a deliver package containing kitchen utensils from his front porch between 8 p.m. on Aug. 21 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 23.

1100 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed U.S. currency from a purse that was left unattended in a showroom between 4:30 and 4:50 p.m. on Aug. 22.

2400 block of Research Boulevard: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a laptop computer from a desk between 12:15 and 12:45 p.m. on Aug. 23.

600 block of Hungerford Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed her wallet and keys while at a health center between 3:15 and 5 p.m. on Aug. 24.

800 block of Hungerford Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed an unattended backpack containing two handheld video game systems, a video game and clothing between 12:30 and 1:05 p.m. on Aug. 25.

1700 block of Farragut Avenue: An unknown subject gained access by unknown means into a residence between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 25. Once inside, the unknown subject removed a welder. 

700 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown subject entered a store and removed 41 bottles of cologne between 3 and 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 25.

Suspect description: A black male, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch, 170 to 180 pounds, with a bald or shaved head, a dark skin tone and a thin build. Last seen wearing black cargo pants, a brown polo shirt and gray running shoes.

200 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that while riding Metrorail, an unknown subject removed her phone between 2 and 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 26.
