Teen, 20-year-old charged

Two people were charged in connection with a garage burglary and vehicle-related thefts in Rockville earlier this week, police said in a news release Friday.

The arrests came after residents near Maryland Avenue, Great Falls Road and Rose Petal Way reported “suspicious” behavior on Wednesday.

Ronnie S. Land, 20, of the 1600 block of Crawford Avenue, Rockville and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on burglary and theft charges, police said.

Land was being held on $5,000 bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center. The teen was released to the custody of a parent, police said.

Citing neighbors’ accounts, police said the two were allegedly seen walking between homes and looking into cars. Police said Land and the teen were found leaving a property in the 200 block of Autumn Wind Way and that later stolen property was later recovered.
