An Assault, Burglaries, Thefts and a Purse Snatching in Rockville City Police Reports

Arrests and incidents through Nov. 24, according to Rockville city police.

 

The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

1000 block of Rockville Pike: A 22-year-old woman was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance—marijuana between 12:49 and 1:20 a.m. Nov. 21.

13000 block of Atlantic Avenue: A 35-year-old man was arrested for fourth-degree burglary and resisting arrest between 6:29 and 6:34 p.m. Nov. 22.

1900 block of Veirs Mill Road: Two men, ages 37 and 41, were arrested for theft between 3:30 and 3:52 a.m. Nov. 23.

100 block of Ladyshire Lane: A 26-year-old man was arrested for first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and fourth-degree sex offense between 4:15 and 4:21 a.m. Nov. 23.

15100 block of Frederick Road: A 35-year-old man was arrested for theft between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Nov. 23.

Incidents

700 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a manlift from a business between 12:01 a.m. Sept. 4 and 10:02 a.m. Nov. 21.

900 block of Lewis Avenue: An unknown subject or subjects gained access through an unsecured door of a shed between 6 p.m. Nov. 4 and 5:15 p.m. Nov. 19. Once inside, the unknown subject or subjects removed eight radiators and assorted copper wire and pipes.

500 block of Elmcroft Boulevard: The complainant reported that an unknown subject entered an apartment and removed U.S. currency between noon Nov. 15 and 5 p.m. Nov. 20.

900 block of Hungerford Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a HVAC unit from the outside of a building between 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16 and 8:50 a.m. Nov. 19.

100 block of First Street: An unknown subject gained access by prying a rear patio door at an apartment between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Nov. 19. It is not known what was taken.

Unit block of Alsace Lane: An unknown subject gained access by breaking a windowpane on a rear door at a residence between 10 and 11:30 a.m. Nov. 19. Once inside, the subject removed U.S. currency, a jewelry box and jewelry.

100 block of First Street: An unknown subject gained access by prying a rear door at an apartment between 10:30 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. Nov. 19. Once inside, the unknown subject removed jewelry and a laptop. 

400 block of Linthicum Street: An unknown subject attempted to gain access by breaking a glass pane in a side door at a residence on at 12:25 p.m. Nov. 19. No entry. 

Suspect description: Male, 16 to 20 years old, 6 foot 2 inches, 200 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair. Last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue Under Armour pants and white tennis shoes. 

100 block of West Edmonston Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject entered the business, stated he was doing maintenance and needed to repair some things in the office between 4 and 5 p.m. Nov. 19. The subject told the complainant that she needed to leave the reception area and asked if she could get him some paper towels. When the complainant returned she discovered that the subject had removed a cash box from the reception area and left. 

Suspect description: Male, 30 to 35 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches, 145 to 155 pounds, with black hair, a medium skin tone, and a thin build. Last seen wearing tan overalls, a green knit cap, a white surgeon’s mask and tan boots.

6000 block of Lemay Road: The complainant reported that while walking home at 7:15 p.m. Nov. 21, she observed two unknown subjects walking towards her. The complainant crossed the street to avoid the subjects. She was grabbed from behind and an unknown subject took her purse. The subject fled in an unknown direction.   

Suspect description: Male. Last seen wearing black jeans, a dark black shirt and a dark black hat.

800 block of Ivy League Lane: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed three lawn chairs and a lawn table from a residential yard between 2:50 a.m. and 10:31 a.m. Nov. 22.

1100 block of Allison Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed two purses, two wallet, U.S. currency, a driver’s license, credit cards, and a set of keys from an unlocked vehicle between 3:45 and 6:29 p.m. Nov. 22.

1200 block of Allison Drive: The complainants were sleeping when they heard someone knocking on the door between 8:50 and 9:04 p.m. on Nov. 24. The complainants did not answer the door. Moments later, an unknown subject attempted to break a bedroom window. One of the complainants yelled and the subjects fled to an awaiting vehicle. No entry was made.

Suspects’ descriptions:

  1. Male, 19 years old, 5 feet 7 inches, 150 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair. Last seen wearing black pants and a black jacket.
  2. Male, 19 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches, with short black hair. Last seen wearing black pants and a black jacket.
  3. Unknown driver of an unknown vehicle.
