A Carjacking, an Armed Robbery, Assaults and Burglaries in Rockville City Police Reports

Arrests and incidents through Jan. 13, according to Rockville city police.

 

The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

900 block of Twinbrook Parkway: On Jan. 1, a 42-year-old man was arrested for violating a protection order at 10 p.m. on Dec. 31.

2200 block of Veirs Mill Road: A 33-year-old man was arrested for trespassing, hindering and obstructing, and disorderly conduct between 6 and 6:37 p.m. on Jan. 3.

15100 block of Frederick Road: A 45-year-old man was arrested for trespassing and for an outstanding warrant, on an alcohol violation, between 4:16 and 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 4.

1600 block of Yale Place: Two men, ages 20 and 21, were arrested for armed carjacking, first-degree assault, and theft between 8:50 and 8:52 p.m. on Jan. 6.

200 block of Frederick Road: A 29-year-old man was arrested for fourth-degree burglary and trespassing at 3 p.m. on Jan. 8.

300 block of Prettyman Drive: A 54-year-old man was arrested for first-degree assault, second-degree assault and for intoxicated endangerment at 9:08 p.m. on Jan. 10.

A 35-year-old man was arrested Jan. 11 and charged with four counts of second-degree burglary and multiple counts of theft, for the following incidents:

  • 800 block on Hungerford Drive: Two separate incidents that occurred between 10 p.m. Jan. 8 and 7 a.m. Jan. 9.
  • 200 block of Park Road: An incident that occurred between 9:47 and 9:54 p.m. on Jan. 9.
  • 2100 block of Veirs Mill Road: An incident that occurred between 9:55 and 9:59 p.m. on Jan. 10.

Incidents

300 block of West Edmonston Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed three laptops from an office between noon Sept. 21 and 1:01 a.m. Jan. 7.

800 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant stated that an unknown subject entered the business and removed a laptop from an office at 8:48 p.m. Dec. 19.

800 block of Grand Champion Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed several pieces of jewelry between 5:30 p.m. Dec. 21 and 7 a.m. Jan. 4.

300 block of Fallsgrove Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed jewelry from a vehicle between 6 p.m. Jan. 2 and 5:30 a.m. Jan. 3.

Unit block of Eton Overlook: The complainant stated that two unknown subjects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a cell phone charger, U.S. currency, and a GPS charger between 3:10 and 3:20 a.m. Jan. 3.

1100 block of Seven Locks Road: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a jacket, a cell phone, a pair of gloves and a set of keys from an unsecured coat rack in a locker room at a gym between 6 and 9 p.m. Jan. 4.

300 block of Charles Street: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a GPS, a vehicle manual and a valet key from an unlocked vehicle between 9 p.m. Jan. 4 and 9 a.m. Jan. 5.

1600 block of Bradley Avenue: The complainant reported that while deejaying at a party, an unknown subject assaulted him and removed his laptop between 12:25 and 1 a.m. on Jan. 5.

500 block of Lincoln Street: The complainant reported that while sleeping, an unknown subject opened an unlocked front bedroom window and began to climb through about 5 a.m. Jan. 5. The complainant awoke and the subject fled without entering the residence.

800 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed his laptop, which he had inadvertently left unattended at a restaurant between 1:30 and 1:41 p.m. Jan. 5.

1200 block of Maple Grove Lane: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed his laptop from his room at a residence between 2 and 6 p.m. Jan. 5.

600 block of Crabb Avenue: An unknown subject gained access through an unlocked door of a shed between 1:01 a.m. and 2 p.m. Jan. 7. Once inside, the unknown subject removed a ladder.

Unit block of Research Court: The complainant reported that he stepped away from the front counter of a hotel because an unknown subject (Subject No. 1) said that a guest was injured elsewhere in the hotel between 12:12 and 12:17 a.m. on Jan. 8. When the complainant returned, he observed another unknown subject (Subject No. 2) breaking into the cash register and removing U.S. currency.

Suspects’ descriptions:

  1. Male, 40 to 50 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inches, 220 to 240 pounds, with a bald/shaved head. Last seen wearing a dark blue jacket, white shoes and dark blue pants.
  2. Male, 35 to 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches, 190 to 220 pounds, with brown medium-length hair. Last seen wearing blue pants, black shoes and a white shirt.

Suspects’ vehicle description: A black Dodge Charger.

12400 block of Twinbrook Parkway: The complainant stated that she was meeting with an unknown subject to sell her iPhone, when the subject grabbed the phone and charger and ran at 2 p.m. Jan. 8.

2100 block of Baltimore Road: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a cell phone from an unattended bag in a locker room at a school between 3 and 4:26 p.m. Jan. 8. Rockville High School is located at 2100 Baltimore Road.

1300 block of Piccard Drive: The complainant reported that she was to meet the unknown subject in a room at the listed location between 5:34 and 5:44 p.m. Jan. 9. The subject arrived, pointed a handgun at the complainant and ordered her to lay face down, while the subject searched the room. The subject removed U.S. currency and fled.

Suspect description: Male, 30 to 40 years old, 6 feet 5 inches, 210 pounds, with a bald/shaven head. Last seen wearing black slacks, black gloves and a black jacket.

400 block of Denham Road: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed an air conditioner from a recreational vehicle in his driveway between 1 and 5 a.m. on Jan. 10.

3200 block of Tower Oaks Boulevard: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed U.S. currency from a wallet that was in his jacket at an office between 1 and 3 p.m. on Jan. 11.

1100 block of Halesworth Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a pair of designer sunglasses from a vehicle between 3 p.m. Jan. 11 and 7 p.m. Jan. 12.

1700 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown subject entered the business, removed a clothing item, and fled out the front door without paying at 4:54 p.m. Jan. 11.

Suspect description: Male, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches, 140 to 160 pounds, with black hair, a goatee, a dark skin tone and a thin build. Last seen wearing blue jeans with patches, a black winter hat and a black jacket.

100 block of Elmcroft Square: An unknown subject attempted to force entry through a front door at a residence between 2 and 2:46 a.m. Jan. 13. The resident, who had been asleep, heard the noise and went to investigate. As the resident approached the front door, the subject was heard running from the scene. No entry was made.
