In the market for a new cellphone or tablet?

There are many services available to help us choose the best Italian restaurant, to decide what movie to see, or to select a reputable home repair service. But when it comes to wireless network quality, where do you turn?

RootMetrics, a Seattle-based, independent mobile measurement company offers clear, unbiased information to help consumers make informed decisions about network performance.  RootMetrics has just released its National RootScore Study, the most comprehensive mobile network test completed and published by a third-party tester to date, and named  Verizon Wireless #1 in Overall Performance, as well as in the four sub-categories of Reliability, Data, Call and Text.  Verizon Wireless was ranked a close second in the final sixth category of Speed, measuring just .2 points below the top score. In RootMetrics’ state-by-state rankings, Verizon Wireless overwhelmed the competition with the most wins or ties in all six categories. Verizon Wireless was ranked first or tied for first in:

•45 states for Overall Performance (vs. 16 wins/ties for the nearest competitor)

What’s important about this study is that it confirms that Verizon Wireless operates the nation’s largest and most reliable 4G LTE network in country.  In all, Verizon Wireless won more awards in each category in all 50 states than any other provider in the rankings.

According to Verizon Wireless' regional president Marquett Smith, “We remain committed to providing our customers with the best, most reliable network experience. We continue to invest hundreds of millions of dollars each year in our wireless network across Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, empowering Verizon Wireless customers to use smart devices and accessories in faster, more innovative ways.”
