What’s Open and What’s Closed in Rockville on July 4?

Most city facilities will be closed, but some remain open.

Independence Day is a week away. That is, one week until fireworks light up the sky in places all across the United States and stores board up for the holiday.

Here are facilities that will be closed all day in Rockville for the Fourth of July.

  • Rockvile City Hall
  • F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and Box Office
  • Croydon Creek Nature Center
  • Rockville Civic Center Park Offices, including Glenview Mansion and Glenview
  • Mansion Art Gallery
  • Lincoln Park
  • Twinbrook and Thomas Farm community centers
  • Senior Center

Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open but closes at 6 p.m.. No swim classes will be held between July 4 - 6. RedGate Municipal Golf Course will be operating on normal hours.

All parking fees at city-owned meters will be suspended for the day. Free parking!
