Complete Lineup of Events in Rockville July 4

Find out what Rockville has scheduled for Independence Day and the do's and don'ts of the event.

July 4 is only a week away and the City of Rockville has a great lineup of events for the evening.

Rockville’s Independence Day Celebration will take place at Montgomery College - Rockville Campus (51 Mannakee Street). Show up early and grab a spot by the stage.

Beginning at 7 p.m. Fugitive Brass Band will perform at the main stage and Get Off My Lawn will perform at the campus stage, across from the football stadium.

At 8 p.m. Rockville Concert Band will perform at the main stage followed by a greeting from Mayor Bridget Donnell Newton and the City Council before the sky lights up in a multitude of exploding colors.

Fireworks begin around 9:15 p.m. and the best locations to view them are areas closest to campus.

Parking will be available at Montgomery College and parking lots on the corner of Mannakee Street and route 355. Handicap parking will be in Lot 2 and Lot 10.

July 4 Do’s and Don’ts:

  • No smoking on campus
  • No barbecuing, open flames or alcohol
  • Bring chairs and blankets for seating
  • Lost children should report to the First Aid booth
  • Dispose of trash, plastic bottles and cans responsibly -- recycling and garbage bins can be found throughout the event
