In honor of American Heart Month, the JCCGW (Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington) and Shady Grove Adventist Hospital have partnered to provide health education programs and screenings for JCCGW members and the community at large.
The carotid arteries supply oxygen-rich blood to the brain. If these arteries develop plaque they can cause a stroke.
