IHOP National Pancake Day is February 5. Enjoy Free Pancakes to Benefit LLS

Visit your Rockville IHOP on Feb. 5 for National Pancake Day! Receive a free shortstack of buttermilk pancakes and consider donating to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

On February 5, National Pancake Day, local area IHOP restaurants will support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Local Rockville IHOP was named 2012’s National Pancake Day top store, raising $25,667 for the mission of LLS: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. The Rockville IHOP’s extraordinary commitment to LLS is due to the hard work of their staff and managers. This year is no exception; they are already working hard promoting National Pancake Day through the sale of paper "Beat Cancer" icons.

This year, the Rockville IHOP is fundraising on behalf of this years Honored Hero, Carson King. In July 2009, Carson was diagnosed with leukemia at 3 ½ years old. After more than three years of treatment, he entered remission on his 7th birthday. Carson is a fun loving boy who likes to ride his bicycle and play outside. He loves cars, legos, his two dogs and tormenting his 15 year old sister, Francesca.

National Pancake Day is an amazing day where awareness of blood cancers is promoted and funds are raised to support research and patient services programs in the Washington, DC area.
