Wine Tasting at Rockville Glenview Mansion (Sister City Fundraiser)

As a sister city fundraising, on October 19 at Glenview Mansion, 603 Edmonston Drive, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. the Rockville Sister City Corporation is holding a wine tasting event. You are invited to attend and bring adult friends and neighbors.

A variety of domestic and international wines will be served along with hors d'oeuvres. The event will include an opportunity to participate in some blind taste tests to evaluate the usefulness of current common paradigms guiding the selection of wines:

1. Does the retail price and/or the country of origin of the same type of wine result in differences your palette can recognize?

2. Is the age of wine really an important guide to likely satisfaction?

3. Should you be concerned about whether wine comes in a bottle or a box or is sealed with a real cork, a plastic stopper, or a screw on cap?

The suggested donation is $25 by October 12. The price the day of the event will be $30.  Please send name, email and check to:
