"Review < > Renew" Opening Reception

Join us on Friday, November 9 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. for an Opening Reception for “Review < > Renew,” an exhibition in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of VisArts. Early paintings and more recent works by Lisa Brotman, Manon Cleary, Sam Gilliam, Tom Green, Margarida Kendall, and Joe Shannon are exhibited alongside Paul Feinberg’s photographs of the artists 25 years ago and now. Also includes works in glass and clay, by Margaret Boozer, Robert Devers, Tim Tate, and Mindy Weisel. Co-curated by Judy A. Greenberg and Jack Rasmussen, this group exhibition brings together the renowned artists who brought critical regional success in the early years Rockville Arts Place (RAP), now renamed VisArts. The artists selected for the exhibition all exhibited at RAP while Greenberg was President of the Board and Rasmussen was Executive Director.



The "Review < > Renew" exhibition will remain on
view through December 29 in the Kaplan Gallery and Common Ground Gallery at VisArts. The galleries are open on Wednesdays, Thurdays and Fridays from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Admission is always free.
