Bully: It's the Fight of His Life

Lee J. Kaplan’s One-Man Play to be Performed in Memory of Evan Rosenstock;
Musician Brett Loewenstern

Washington, DC—September 1, 2013—Actor Lee J. Kaplan’s one-man play “Bully: It’s the Fight of His Life” will be performed at Churchill High School on Sunday, September 15, from 7-9 pm, in memory of Churchill student and athlete Evan Rosenstock.

“Bully” mines the childhood diary of Kaplan to recount the relentless psychological and physical abuse he endured from classmates.

The Washington Post called the play “especially taxing for writer and star Lee J. Kaplan,” who trains himself before the audience’s eyes, so he can “take down” each bully in an imaginary boxing match.

Also performing will be musician Brett Loewenstern, who ranked among the top 24 performers during Season 10 of American Idol.

In cooperation with Churchill High School PTSA and Churchill SGA, “Bully” will be performed to help advance the umttr (“you matter”) movement, dedicated to the research and prevention of teen depression and suicide.
