Bluegrass Music at UUCR, featuring Mama Tried!

There's a new band in town...several of them, in fact, as UUCR launches a new venue for great live music in Rockville! We plan to feature a wide variety of talented local artists, with an emphasis on roots/Americana music styles, encompassing contemporary and traditional folk, blues, bluegrass, jazz, swing, and more. The first show, featuring bluegrass band Mama Tried, is Friday, October 11 from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. in Founders Hall. Mama Tried performs both original and traditional songs and has appeared at the Kennedy Center, The Birchmere, and the Washington Folk Festival. There's a $15 suggested donation; food/drink will be available for purchase.
