ALEX HAMBURGER W/ PAUL CARR

Alex Hamburger is a young vocalist and flute player from the DC area. Alex was a member of her school ensembles at Blair High School where she had many opportunities to play and sing with the big band and was also a member of the Red Line Quintet in which she got to sing and play at many venues including the Italian Embassy, State Department and at the Telluride Jazz Festival. Also a member of the Jazz Academy of Washington Orchestra under the direction of Paul Carr she got many opportunities to play and sing at the Jazz Educators Network Festival in Atlanta, the Cleveland Jazz Festival, the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival and venues such as Bethesda Blues and Jazz Club and Westminster Presbyterian Church. Currently Alex is majoring in Jazz Studies at SUNY Purchase in New York.
