Police: Rockville Doctor Died of Asphyxiation
ROCKVILLE—Chandrasekhar Korapati, 50, was found dead Thursday, July 11 at his home in the 9800 block of Juniper Hill Road, part of the Willows community. His death was ruled a homicide; no charges have been filed. Read more on Rockville Patch.

Police: Woman Stole Wallet off Back of Wheelchair

Rockville Man Sentenced to 111 Years for Armed Robbery Spree
ROCKVILLE—The man who pleaded guilty to robbing five businesses with a replica gun and an adult toy store in Rockville was sentenced Thursday to 111 years in prison. The judge suspended all but 16 years of Ramon Gunn's sentence. Read more on Rockville Patch. 

MCFRS: Brush Fire Extinguished Near Damascus Wednesday
GERMANTOWN—It took extra firefighters to battle a brush fire reported near Damascus on Wednesday. Roughly 25 rescuers were needed to put out the blaze at Prices Distillery and Clarksburg roads—near Little Bennett Regional Park. Read more on Germantown Patch.
