- It is almost football season. The Redskins play their first preseason game on Friday. On Monday, we posted to get you ready for the season. Read the article to find out how to post your own training camp photos.

- A state panel that will recommend a plan for redrawing lines of congressional and state legislative districts in Maryland . The Governor's Redistricting Advisory Committee to Gov. Martin O'Malley (D). The Washington Post reported on how new lines could mean a new Congressional district for Rockville.
- The county’s Redistricting Commission will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the third floor conference room of the Stella B. Werner Council Building. The commission is using 2010 census data to develop recommendations for boundaries for the county’s five County Council districts.
- Work on Great Falls Road will continue for another week, according to the city’s website. Expect the road to be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The road connects Maryland Avenue and West Jefferson Street near Town Center.
