It's the 'Stairway to Gilligan's Island' edition of 'The Rundown.'
Good Thursday, Rockville. (And happy June for that matter—we were away for a few days.)
It’s a gorgeous spring day evening out there. (Yes, it is still technically spring despite the swelter of the early part of the week.)
We’re in the middle of the sprint to the finish with the school year winding done, sports seasons and afterschool programs wrapping up and community groups meeting for a final time before heading off for summer break.

There’s a lot going on today and everyday for the next couple of weeks and then … summertime and the living’s easy (or so I’ve heard). .
(As the child of school teachers, I can attest to the fact that this is the time of the year when my father would come home and announce that “the kids are bouncing off the walls.” He was a phys ed teacher, so that was not necessarily a metaphor.)

For a full list of graduation dates and speakers check out this list on the Montgomery County Public Schools Web site. - Have your kids missed the fountain at ? Have you? @RockvilleTownSq reports that the fountain, which has been out of commission for a few days for repairs to its storm drains (which have been busy this spring), will be back in action at 11 a.m. tomorrow. (I was out there today talking to the repair crew as they wrapped up their work and they confirmed that all systems are "go.")
