Patch Picks: Rockville Top Chefs

You don't have to tune in to dine with a top chef.

We are very fortunate to have a number of great restaurants in Rockville.

Every great restaurant starts with a great chef in the kitchen. These chefs specialize in a variety of cuisines, ranging from American and Argentinean to Indian and Vietnamese.

  • Chef K.N.Vinod serves regional dishes from the north and south of India at (98 W Montgomery Avenue). Vinod and Bombay Bistro have won awards and accolades from a variety of organizations, including Washingtonian magazine, The Washington Post and Zagat.
  • Ray Niederhausen is the executive chef at (9755 Traville Gateway Drive). He specializes in fresh grilled fish and seafood. Niederhausen hand cuts certified Angus beef steakhouse steaks, chops and rack of lamb, and fresh organic chicken, which he grills to perfection. Call 301-762-5148 for a reservation or reserve online.
  • Chef Davide Megna prepares authentic Italian cuisine at (1093 Seven Locks Road, Potomac). He learned the secrets of Northern Italian cuisine at a cooking school in the Piedmont region of Italy. Megna and Amici Miei Ristorante have won several awards and favorable reviews from a variety of organizations, including Washingtonian magazine, The Washington Post and Bethesda Magazine.   • Nick and Sara Rossi and Geoff Thomas manage the smokers at  (7206 Muncaster Mill Road), where they serve a fusion of authentic Carolina-style pork barbecue, tender Texas-style beef brisket and Memphis-style spare and baby back ribs. Stop in for some great homestyle barbecue.
