Patch Picks: Five Summer Camp Options for Your Kids

There are plenty of specialty and general camps in Rockville this summer.

Summer break is nearly here. That means no school and plenty of time for fun.  It’s also time for camp.

Here are some suggestions for finding specialty and general camps in and around Rockville:

  • If arts and drama are your child’s thing, the City of Rockville has camps that cover everything from crafts to clay to drama.
  • Got a budding scientist or naturalist in your family?  The city’s got you covered, too.  And remember, you don’t have to be a city resident to attend.
  • Baseball, gymnastics, basketball … the city also offers camps that match the interests of your sports enthusiast.
  • For other sports camp options, including a soccer academy, there’s .
  • Montgomery County also offers a full range of camp options for your kids.
  • , located in Rockville Town Square, offers exposure to a variety of arts and stop-motion filmmaking.

When you click on the links to the camps listed above, you'll also find  teen camps and pre-school camps.
