It's a busy day in the neighborhood, so let's get to it with the "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" edition of "The Rundown." (Cue B.J. Thomas at 0:41 ... wait for it.) :

  • Spring has sprung. Leaves are returning to the trees—and the remnants of last year's might still be in your yard. If that's the case, and you live in the city, Rockville's Department of Public Works will perform a curbside leaf pickup over the next two weeks. Crews were scheduled to start making the rounds today in the Twinbrook neighborhood. Check out the city's Web site for a collection schedule and map.
  • A committee studying the city's Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance will meet on at 7 p.m. on Thursday at . The agenda includes a presentation on fire and emergency services.
  • The Rockville City Police are getting have a revamped Web site. Check it out here.
  • Today Tomás F. Baliño reported on . On Wednesday, school planners continue their tour to discuss ways to relieve overcrowding in the Richard Montgomery cluster schools with a meeting on the feasibility of building a new elementary school in the cluster.
  • Lots of goings-on this week from Rockville youth performance troupe The Finest!The group of actors, dancers and steppers will hold auditions for its Dizcovery Kidz! Troupe at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Elwood Smith Community Center. On Friday, The Finest!'s IMPACT Troupe presents its Spring Break Teen Jam from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Elwood Smith Community Center.
  • County budget hearings are going on throughout the week in the third floor hearing room of the in Town Center. The council will hold the second and third of its hearings on  on Wednesday. The hearings will be televised live by County Cable Montgomery (channel 6 on Comcast and RCN and channel 30 on Verizon) and also will be available via streaming through the County Web site at www.montgomerycountymd.gov. The final two hearings will be held at 1:30 and 7 p.m. on Thursday.
