Interfaith Works Executive Director Resigns

C. Marie Henderson will become director of Community Foundation of Montgomery County

After serving Interfaith Works for two years, Executive Director C. Marie Henderson is leaving to serve director of the Community Foundation of Montgomery County.

Her resignation takes effect May 22. Priscilla Fox-Morrill, director of Homeless Services, will serve interim executive director.

Based in Rockville, Interfaith Works is a non-sectarian, nonprofit organization supported by more than 7,000 volunteers, businesses, civic groups, and more than 140 local congregations.

In announcing Henderson’s resignation, Board Chairwoman Mary Ann Sestili said:

“While Marie’s departure is a loss for IW, we feel that she is ideally suited for her new position. Our local nonprofits will now benefit from Marie’s guidance and expertise. Having an advocate who understands social services so comprehensively can only strengthen our important work in the community.”
