Emergency Maintenance Scheduled for Rock Creek Trail

Officials say they will begin to repair root protrusion and drainage issues on the trail.

 

The county will make some much-needed repairs to the Rock Creek Trail beginning as early as Monday, according to a Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission news release.

Workers will repair root protrusion and drainage issues on the portion of the trail between Baltimore Road and Aspen Hill Park. The emergency maintenance will last about two weeks, weather permitting, according to the release.

Officials advise park and trail users to use caution while in the area, and to avoid the trail while the maintenance is in progress.
