We received several suggestions with local connections including “Monroe Gibbs,” from Twitter follower @couponomics. “Monroe Gibbs Market” would be a take on the approach used by the proposed owners at their Ellwood Thompson’s Local Market in Richmond, VA, where the namesake is the cross streets where the store is located.
Councilman Piotr Gajewski seems to like the idea of including the Gibbs name, commenting that “William B. Gibbs' story is so powerful and it connects Rockville to American history as Gibbs was represented by Thurgood Marshall, a later Supreme Court Justice.”

Another commenter, “Doug in Rockville” went with two other names from the city’s history, suggesting “Beall Dawson.”
Jim Coyle, a former Rockville mayor and councilman, suggested another kind of “hometown” variation on the Ellwood Thompson name: “How about abbreviation of Company's name: ET? There [sic] motto can be ET Come Home!” Coyle wrote.
What do you think? Do you like any of the proposed names? Got one of your own in mind? Chime in by posting your picks in the “Comments” box below.
