Rockville, MD—Optimal Networks, Inc. announces its participation as a Platinum Walker Sponsor for the 3rd Annual Acacia Federal Savings Bank Rock & Stroll to End Homelessness. The event, a community service and fundraising event benefitting five Alexandria homeless service providers: ALIVE!, The Arlington-Alexandria Coalition for the Homeless (AACH), Community Lodgings, New Hope Housing, and Wesley Housing, will be held at Cameron Run Regional Park on Saturday, September 28, 2013.
This collaboration of nonprofits will allow the five beneficiaries to raise the funds necessary to further their missions to end homelessness in the DC metro and surrounding areas. Activities for the day include a DJ to keep the festivities going, a barbecue lunch, games, hula hooping, salsa dancing, zumba, a Community Walk, kids’ activities, and more.
“I have been involved with this organization for nine years and their mission is something I’m passionate about,” said Jeff Greenspan, Senior Consultant at Optimal Networks. “I know that Optimal has a history of philanthropic support and community involvement; I’m excited the company has added the Rock & Stroll to end homelessness to the list of causes they support.”
Optimal Networks supports various causes throughout the year, including research for juvenile diabetes, the mission to end domestic violence, several local food pantries, and the Susan G. Komen Workout for the Cure.
“I’m excited to add the Rock & Stroll to End Homelessness to the list of causes Optimal supports,” said Heinan Landa, Optimal Networks’ CEO. “It will be a fun day that will help these organizations fulfill their missions and accomplish some important goals.”
In addition to many local government officials, hundreds of area residents and organizations are expected to attend, and participate in, the event. Visit www.rockandstroll.net for additional information.
