Montgomery Hospice: Casey House 15th Anniversary & Campaign Celebration

On Sunday, May 18, 2014, more than 70 Montgomery County residents and their guests gathered at Montgomery Hospice’s Casey House to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Casey House and the successful completion of a three-year $8 million fundraising campaign.

Beryl L. Feinberg, Rockville City Councilmember and Montgomery Hospice Board Chair, led the celebration.  Montgomery County Sherriff Darrin M. Popkin—also a Montgomery Hospice Board member—also participated in the special program.  Ann Mitchell, Montgomery Hospice President & CEO, thanked the board, “for having the foresight to launch the campaign to raise critical funds to support Casey House operations.”  Mitchell also unveiled a special recognition plaque to thank the generous donors who supported the Gentle the Journey Campaign, in particular its lead benefactors: Eugene B. Casey Foundation and the Healthcare Initiative Foundation.

Casey House is the only healthcare facility in Montgomery County exclusively designed for hospice patients. Patients and families are cared for by a highly-skilled team of end-of-life professionals. Casey House is located at 6001 Muncaster Mill Road, in Rockville, Maryland.
